Put Momo on your home screen
Learning With Momo installs straight from your browser. There is no app store step: it takes under a minute, and Momo then opens from its own icon, in its own window, like any other app.
Installed. Look for Momo on your home screen or with your other apps.
Install it in a few taps
Pick your device. On Android phones and on computers with Chrome or Edge, an Install button also appears at the top of this page and does it in one step.
iPhone or iPad
- Open Safari and go to learningwithmomo.com/learn/. Sign in, or start your free trial.
- Tap the Share button (the square with an arrow pointing up).
- Scroll down, tap Add to Home Screen, then tap Add.
- Momo is on your home screen. Open it from there.
In Chrome or Edge on an iPhone, the Share button is in the address bar; the rest is the same.
Android
- Tap Install Learning With Momo above, if you see it. Otherwise open Chrome and go to learningwithmomo.com/learn/.
- Tap the menu (⋮) at the top right.
- Tap Install app. On some phones it says Add to home screen, then Install.
- Momo appears with your other apps.
Samsung Internet: tap the menu, then Add page to, then Home screen.
Computer
- Click Install Learning With Momo above, if you see it. Otherwise open learningwithmomo.com/learn/ in Chrome or Edge.
- Click the install icon at the right end of the address bar, or open the browser menu and choose the Install option.
- Click Install. Momo opens in its own window and gets an icon on your desktop or dock.
Safari on a Mac: File, then Add to Dock. Firefox has no install option, so use Chrome, Edge or Safari.
Questions about installing
Is it a real app?
Yes. Once installed, Learning With Momo has its own icon and opens in its own window without browser bars. On Android it sits in your app list and in Settings with your other apps. It is the same app you use at learningwithmomo.com/learn/, so everything works the same way.
Does installing cost anything?
No. Installing is free, and there is no card to enter. You need an account to use the app, and every new account starts with a 90-day free trial.
How does it update?
By itself. Each time you open it while you are online, it loads the newest version. There is nothing to update by hand.
Does it work without the internet?
Yes, for up to 7 days after it last checked in online. From Big Kid mode up, tap Save offline on My progress to download the audio for your language pair (about 8 to 10 MB with English as your helper language). After 7 days offline, Momo asks for one quick connection.
Is it on the App Store or Google Play?
Not today. Installing from your browser, as above, gives you the full app on iPhone, iPad, Android and computers.
How do I remove it?
On iPhone or iPad, press and hold the icon, then Remove App. On Android, press and hold the icon, then Uninstall. On a computer, open the app, then its menu, then Uninstall. Removing the app does not delete your account; to do that, go to learningwithmomo.com/delete-account.
