In the trial
What the trial includes
The trial is the whole app, not a sample. What you see depends on the language and the age mode you pick: Little Explorer (ages 2 to 5), Big Kid (6 to 12) or Teens and Grown-ups (13 and up).
- 227 words and phrases in 15 topic decks, the same in every language.
- 11 languages: Arabic (Lebanese or Standard Arabic), French, Spanish, Mandarin, Portuguese, German, Hindi, Russian, Polish, Bengali and Korean.
- Every word has its own pre-made audio clip, spoken by a clear AI (neural) voice.
- Every card also shows the word in your own language: English by default, or one of 11 others.
- Picture games: Find it!, How many? and I spy in every age mode, plus Memory match from Big Kid up, with stars, stickers and a daily streak.
- 16 travel phrases from Big Kid up.
- Say it like Momo in every age mode: listen, hold to record, then hear yourself back, with bigger buttons in Little Explorer. Recordings stay on the device.
- The 28 Arabic letters with tracing, for Arabic learners from Big Kid up.
- The English reading tutor for young children: phonics in 7 levels, Kindergarten to Grade 3, with up to 6 readers per account and a printable parent report.
How it works
From sign-up to day 90
Create your account
Use an email address and a password of at least 8 characters, then enter the 6-digit code we email you. No card needed.
Set up the device
Open the app in a modern web browser on a phone, tablet or computer, and add it to your home screen if you like. Pick an age mode, a language to learn and your "I speak" language.
Use everything for 90 days
The 90 days start the day you create your account. The app does not show the end date, so write it down when you sign up.
Keep going if it suits you
When the trial ends, the app takes you to a page with the next step. If you want to keep going, ask through the contact form and we will set up your membership by hand.
No surprises
What you will not find
- No card at sign-up. The trial needs only an email address, a password and the 6-digit code we email you. We do not collect payment information.
- No automatic charge. There is no payment system yet, so nothing can be charged when the trial ends.
- Nothing to buy inside the app. There are no in-app purchases or paid extras.
- No ads or ad networks. Not during the trial, and not after it.
- No cut-down version. Every account on a trial or a membership opens the same app.

Is Learning With Momo free?
It is free for the first 90 days, as a trial on every new sign-up. After that it needs a membership. Paid plans are not on sale yet, so today we set up membership by hand: ask through the contact form.
Do I need a credit card to start the trial?
No. You need an email address and a password of at least 8 characters. We email you a 6-digit code to confirm the account, and your 90 days start the day you sign up.
What happens when my 90 days are up?
The app takes you to a page with the next step. Card checkout is not ready yet, so to keep going, ask through the contact form and we will set up your membership by hand. Nothing is charged automatically, because there is no card on file.
When can I buy a plan?
Card checkout is coming soon. The planned prices are on this page so you know what to expect. Until checkout is ready, we set up membership after the trial by hand, on request.
Is anything held back during the trial?
No. The trial opens the whole app: all 11 languages, all 3 age modes, the games and the English reading tutor. Some features depend on the age mode or the language you pick. For example, the Arabic alphabet and tracing are for Arabic learners from Big Kid up.
Can the whole family use it during the trial?
Yes, on one account. The age mode is chosen on each device and can be changed any time from the header, so younger and older learners can each use the right mode. The English reading tutor holds up to 6 readers, each with a printable parent report. Word progress is saved on each device. On an ordinary account that is one record per browser, so everyone who uses the same browser shares one set of stars, stickers and streak. A family account (we set these up ourselves; you cannot choose one at sign-up yet) gives each of up to 5 people their own on each device, and the app asks who is learning each time it opens.
How much will schools and groups pay?
The planned price is from $3 per learner per month for 20 or more learners, coming soon. Today, a group can start with membership set up by hand. See the schools and groups page for what exists and what does not.
Do you store my payment details?
No. We do not collect payment information.
Are there ads or in-app purchases?
No. There are no ads and no ad networks, and there is nothing to buy inside the app.
Do I need to buy an app from the App Store or Google Play?
No. There is no App Store or Google Play app. Learning With Momo runs in a modern web browser on a phone, tablet or computer, and you can add it to your home screen.
Can I delete my account?
Yes. Go to learningwithmomo.com/delete-account, enter the email on the account and open the link we send to it. In the app, Delete my account on the My progress screen, or Delete account at the bottom of the app, opens the same page. While your trial or membership is active, parents can also delete reading data themselves in the grown-ups area of the reading tutor. Once your access ends, that area closes too, so do it before then or ask us.
